bottle of sugary drinks a day had a 75 percent higher risk of gout than women and men who had no such drinks.

Researchers found that the more sugary beverages a person drank, the more their risk of early death from any cause increased.
Drinking one to four per month was linked with a 1% increased risk; two to six per week with a 6%
increase; one to two per day with a 14% increase; and two or more per day with a 21% increase.
Sugary beverages and increased risk of early death from cardiovascular disease are found to be connected.
Compared with infrequent drinkers, those who drank two or more servings per day had a 31% higher risk of early
death from cardiovascular diseases.
Each additional serving per day of sugary drinks was linked with a 10% increased higher risk of cardiovascular disease-related death.
