Debo Adebayo, also known as Mr. Macaroni, a well-known social activist and comedian, has urged Nigerians to cease “twerking” for politicians, saying those who do so are the least patriotic of all Nigerians.

Mr. Macaroni believes that people should only praise politicians for their accomplishments and hold them accountable for their mistakes.

The creator of the skit said in a post on his social media account that he has now gained independence and is now fully aware that holding public office does not benefit the general populace.

Mr. Macaroni's message to Nigerians

Mr. Macaroni stated that Nigerians should hold their leaders responsible while praising politicians and advising people to free their thoughts and escape from political servitude.

Some of us have since achieved self-emancipation, and we are fully cognizant that politicians are not serving the public interest by holding public office, he said.

Instead, the people are so favorably and privilegedly served by politicians.

Put an end to twerking for politicians. Free yourself from political servitude and your minds.

You are a Nigerian, you deserve better. Hold your leaders responsible, then.

“We all have a role to play in making Nigeria function.

The least patriotic Nigerians are individuals who have opted to support politicians rather than the nation, particularly when those actions have a negative impact on the populace.

“Do well to praise them when they perform well, but also be the first to reprimand them when they fail to uphold the wishes of the populace. Now pay attention to the voice of reason, get off your asses, and start acting better.
