Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), declared yesterday that he had withdrawn the complaint he had previously filed against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois County, in the United States of America because he has now brought a new action against the leader.

The former vice president has filed a separate case against Tinubu in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, according to Phrank Shaibu, Atiku’s special assistant on public communications, who made this claim in a statement. As a result, the former vice president decided to withdraw an ongoing case from an Illinois circuit court, according to Shaibu.

Atiku’s case against Tinubu at Chicago State University asking for access to his academic records was dismissed by the Circuit Court of Cook County.

Shaibu responded to the development by noting in the state statement that Waziri Atiku Abubakar only withdrew the case from the Cook County Circuit Court in Illinois because he is pursuing the same matter in a higher court and he wanted to prevent an abuse of the legal system. Therefore, this is just the start.

Atiku brings a new lawsuit against Tinubu in the US

Aides to Atiku found it amusing that Tinubu and his fans were celebrating the news as if it were a Supreme Court ruling.

He argued that Tinubu’s academic records from elementary school to university were still in doubt, which is why the president was unable to name even one former classmate.

Nigerians have been monitoring the current ministerial screening at the Senate for the past week, during which nominees have been asked to disclose their primary, secondary, and collegiate backgrounds. Even some of the nominees for cabinet positions were classmates of the senators scrutinizing them.

But the individual who nominated them has no background in teaching. He doesn’t have any peers from elementary school, high school, or university. He doesn’t have any classmates, which is why. He actually dropped to the ground.

“Recently, prior presidents have hosted reunions at Aso Rock Villa for their former pupils. Even President Muhammadu Buhari hosted some of his middle school classmates from Katsina. But who was welcomed at the Presidential Villa by Bola Tinubu? The governors are from 1999. Atiku will make sure that the individual is revealed because his entire life, history, and credentials are unknown.

“It is anticipated that whoever holds the office of president must be honest, particularly in terms of his past.

“Unfortunately, we are dealing with a president whose life began in 1993 and whose past is buried in mystery. Even the year 1993, which serves as the first chapter of our president’s history in writing, is famed for a documented drug indictment.

“Now that the year 2023 has arrived, Atiku is requesting access to our president’s murky background, and the same man is blocking the truth about his past. The president has something to conceal if he is obstructing an innocent attempt to learn more about his history.

It is dishonorable that the President’s fans are happy to see him lying about his own past.

But as the proverb goes, lies may persist for a lifetime, but the truth will always triumph. President Tinubu has nowhere to hide now that the time for the truth has come.
