Eldee the Don, a Nigerian hip-hop singer also known as Sikirullahi Olanrewaju Dabiri, has revealed why he left music and fled Nigeria.

An ex-member of the Trybesmen claimed he left the country to “clear” his mind after being “scammed” by a consulting firm that took investors’ money under the pretense that it was being invested in his music.

Some of his team members came to Nigeria to work on the project after leaving their homes in other nations, but they were let down.

He said this:

What actually happened was that Tonye Akindele, who at the time ran a capital advising firm, was introduced to me by Shayman. Searching for businesses to invest in is what they do. They employ individuals to finance those investments.

“So they asked me to partner with them. And I gave in. Unbeknownst to me, however, Tonye Akindele and his partner were the ones financing the record label; nonetheless, the label was not receiving any cash. My music was still being supported.

The rapper made this revelation while appearing on the most recent episode of the Teju Babyface-hosted King of Talks podcast.

Eldee claimed that despite accruing significant debts, it took him over a year to understand that he had been conned.

Eldee explains in a different article why presidents in their 70s shouldn’t be

Recent media celebrity JOI interviewee ElDee said that it is a symptom of failure.

ElDee declared:

“There is no justification for somebody in their 70s to run for president of Nigeria.

It is a failure in my opinion because it indicates that nobody has been prepared to enter the workforce and contribute fresh perspectives during this time. You continue to act as though nothing happened. Na, you continue doing everything.

My philosophy is to welcome newcomers.

The musician added that he learned ICT from his father and that his father introduced the internet to Nigeria.
