They first beat him physically, then bound his hands and legs with ropes, and dropped him beside a wayside store.
The car parts he attempted to steal but was unable to get away with were spread out on the floor not far from where he dropped them.
The event took place at night, and a video that recently surfaced online shows the moment neighbors emerged to witness him peacefully dozing off while still bound.
A man in the background was astounded that a robber who had been apprehended, beaten, and shackled could still be at ease enough to sleep soundly.
