A 13-second video that the family shared on Sunday encapsulates the couple’s positive outlook. It shows Olu Jacobs and his wife having fun together, unfazed by the ill-intentioned rumors.

Nigerian journalist Betty Irabor reaffirmed this on Sunday in a post shared on social media.
“Please disregard all rumors of Olu Jacob’s death; he is well and living,” she wrote.
Online rumors of Jacobs’ passing have previously surfaced without official confirmation.
Similar rumors concerning the seasoned actor have been circulating online before. A similar report became viral on Facebook and Twitter in June 2020 (now known as X).
The Actors Guild of Nigeria’s then-spokesperson, Monalisa Chinda-Coker, subsequently refuted the report.
The actor’s passing was also a subject of rumors in August 2022.
Later, Joke, his wife, denied the claim and vowed to take legal action against those who had spread it.
Although Olu Jacobs hasn’t featured in any films lately, he did show up in public at the Africa International Film Festival Awards (AFRIFF) in Lagos, looking ill.
Chude Jideonwo, the actress, revealed in a Channels Television interview that her spouse has been fighting dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB) for a number of years.
“He has been dealing with difficulties for a few years. It is referred to as Lewy Body dementia. Similar to Parkinson’s disease in that it affects the brain but does not result in shaking, it is a degenerative illness of the brain. She clarified, “It affects the individual.”
